The 10 most recent fault codes are stored in the MagIQtouch and can be reviewed by a technician using the service menu (access code: 7378, licensed technicians only). Fault codes on TQ/TQM series Ecostar heaters are also indicated via LED flash patterns on the ICS (Integrated Control System) board inside the heater. On the Spectrolink controller (older pre-MagIQtouch Braemar models), fault codes are numeric from 1–19. First attempt: power-cycle the system by turning off at the isolator for 5–10 minutes and restarting. If the fault code reappears, do not continue operating the heater — call a licensed gas technician.

If your Braemar SuperStealth or Paradigm is running but not delivering cool air, the most common causes are dry cooling pads (pump or solenoid fault), worn cooling pads past their service life, or high ambient humidity reducing evaporative effectiveness. On genuinely humid days, evaporative cooling is inherently less effective — run fan-only for ventilation. If pads are dry on a normal-humidity day, a same-day service call is needed.
If your Braemar heater is tripping the overheat protection (HX OT1 fault) repeatedly, this indicates a consistent airflow restriction. Check that all floor or ceiling outlets are fully open and not blocked, that the return air filter is clean, and that the return air grille is unobstructed.
